45+ List reopened 5.8.11

Women’s Pioneer Housing maintains a small waiting list for single women over 45 living in an insecure or unsuitable home. We get very few vacancies, but will try to house a few women each year into a self contained studio flat.

We keep the numbers on the list low, in order to be more realistic about who we can help, so the list wll close once we have received the first 6 applications.
If you want to join our waiting list you must be on a low income and willing to consider property in any area we cover, although we will try to accommodate any stated preferences. The flats most likely to become available are studio flats on upper floors, without a lift, (so applicants will need to be reasonably mobile) and are most likely to be in Earls Court or W12

We do not as a general rule accept applications from those who are in hostel accommodation run by other housing associations as our aim is to assist those who have no other access to social housing.

Before any offer can be confirmed, you will need to be able to prove where you are currently living, that you have the ability to pay the rent and can maintain a tenancy. You will also be asked to prove you do not owe any rent and we may request a reference from your current landlords.

If you turn down an offer, you will be removed from the waiting list. We will review all applications every year and will write to you to check if you want to stay on the list – if we don’t get a reply within 4 weeks, we will take your name off the list. You should also tell us if you move after you have sent in your form.

For an application form, call us and Cory Clarke will send one to you in the post :

Unfortunately, if your form is received after we have closed the list, we will have to return your application.
