Small Repairs
Staying Put is a Kensington based organisation, which is part of the Shepherds Bush Housing Association group. In addition to the work they do for Women’s Pioneer Housing, Staying Put is willing to carry out minor works for tenants. These would be tasks for which the tenant, not the landlord, is responsible and would include jobs such as unblocking of sinks, changing of tap washers, repair or replacement of toilet seats, replacing light bulbs or fluorescent tubes, putting up shelves or curtain rails, putting up or taking down of curtains etc.
If you have any minor works, which you would like to ask Staying Put to carry out for you, please call them between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday on: 020 8206 5890
As from January 2009 Women’s Pioneer tenants over 60 living in Kensington & Chelsea will be able to employ Staying Put at a reduced cost. This is due to funding provided by RBKC.
The reduced rates are as follows:
Tenants in receipt of means tested benefits will pay no charge for labour or parking, only materials used plus VAT.
For all other tenants the rate is currently £32.78 per hour, minimum of one hour, then charged per ½ hour thereafter, + parking and materials.
