Our board members come from a wide range of disciplines and give their time voluntarily to assist the Women’s Pioneer organisation.
Maureen Hopcroft, Chair of the Board
Maureen has 30 years’ ICT experience in the private, public and third sectors. She is now an independent Programme Management and ICT consultant offering services across the public and third sector.
Sofia Nilsson, Vice Chair
Sofia has worked for financial institutions across the globe, currently working for Standard Chartered Bank. She brings specialist risk management, governance and treasury experience.
Shushil Chohan qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He has extensive experience in industry as Finance Director and COO. He volunteers as Director on a number of property management companies and more recently co-founded businesses involved in IT Consulting and Staffing.
Kasia is a tenant with Women’s Pioneer and a full time student reading for a Screenwriting and Producing Degree. She has a background in financial market research and system testing. She used to be a therapist for a charitable foundation and Chair for Women’s Pioneer Scrutiny Panel.
Vivienne, whose early career was spent as a solicitor, is Chief Executive of Soho HA. Prior to that she worked at The Crown Estate. Vivienne is a member of the City of London Solicitors Company with Freedom of the City of London.
Caroline is a former journalist who specialised in legal reporting and a teacher of English as a second language to members of London’s business community. She now works at St Paul’s cathedral. Caroline is a tenant of Women’s Pioneer.
Claire is a town planner and building surveyor. She currently works for Pod LLP, leading project teams on large scale residential schemes for housing associations. Claire mentors RICS candidates and is active in the National Association for Women in Construction.
Kim is Chief Executive Officer of BLP Insurance and Chief Executive of HAPM, which provide housing warranty and commercial latent defects insurance. Originally a barrister, she has been a pension trustee and is a member of the Society of Construction Law.
Louise is a senior corporate lawyer who is currently working on a freelance basis. She also sits as a Tribunal Judge hearing social security appeals.
