We are looking for new board members who understand the importance of women’s housing needs, are willing to aid in enabling residents to work with us to improve and redesign our services and would like to play a key role in shaping our strategy for the future.
The Board is a skilled and friendly group that provides leadership to the association’s professional staff and supports our work.
Your insight into the impact the decisions of the Board make will help WPH define our offer to residents as we continue to improve our services.
As a Board member, you will play a significant role in developing WPH’s plans for the future. You will have an opportunity to influence what we do and gain experience that may be valuable in supporting your aspirations.
If you share our vision, can offer your time commitment in attending main meetings held six times a year or want to know a bit more, please contact Susan Bernard via [email protected], or call 020 8749 7112.
Jo Ghelmini retired as a tenant board member in May 2018. She said:
“Being a Board member is a fantastic opportunity to help shape WPH homes and services. One thing to keep in mind is that you are not a representative for other residents, but you are a resident on the Board with your own views and opinions. In my experience these views have been listened to and acted on. It’s a wonderful opportunity if you are interested in discovering the ‘nuts and bolts’ of your housing association.”
