Information and Services
Maintenance & Emergencies
If the repair is urgent please call us on our repairs hotline 020 8743 4422. If you are calling outside our office hours, the hotline number will give you the contact numbers for our emergency contractors.
Tenant Involvement
Women’s Pioneer welcomes the involvement of our tenants, through individual feedback, residents associations and our Tenant Scrutiny panel. Involvement can result in improvements to the services we provide and it makes our staff more accountable.
Rent & Charges
The rent that we charge you is based on legal and regulatory requirements. Secure tenants, with tenancy agreements dating before 15 January 1989, pay a “fair rent” registered by the Rent Officer, who is independent from Women’s Pioneer Housing.
Welfare Reform
The Government has been making a series of changes to Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits. This could leave some of our tenants with less money, find out more at the link below.
Estate Maintenance
Ninety of our flats have been sold under the right to buy introduced for secure tenants by the 1985 Housing Act. Many of the flats have been sold again on the open market. Leaseholders benefit from the same level of service that we provide to tenants, except that they have responsibility for most of the repairs inside their flats.
Safety and Security
One of the comments that tenants regularly make to us is that they feel safe and secure in their home. Providing safe and secure homes is a key objective for us, so we will take action on unauthorised use and we encourage tenants to report any safety issues.

Women’s Pioneer put out a newsletter each quarter, the Pioneer Press. Visit the archive at the link below to keep up with the news.
