In October 2020 Women’s Pioneer Housing will celebrate 100 years of providing homes for women in London. Our vision is to make a positive difference in women’s lives. Our mission is to provide homes and services which offer a springboard to independent women to achieve their potential. We aim to influence others to do the same.
The majority of the homes we own are heritage properties typically, five and six-storey Victorian terraced properties which have been converted into a studio or one-bedroom flats. We also own a handful of larger, purpose-built flats all in high-value areas of West London.
These properties are both rewarding and challenging to maintain. We are currently developing new homes and have a flagship project being developed in partnership with developers Hub to provide 80 new affordable homes, a new head office for Women’s Pioneer and an exciting Co-Living scheme for Hub which has reached the planning stage.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced building surveyor to manage our programmes of compliance works, associated record keeping and reporting to ensure our properties remain safe. You will manage our contracts for the tenant in place improvements and major void works and specify, procure and oversee our cyclical maintenance programme.
You will be a qualified or part qualified building surveyor. Your professional experience will ideally have been gained working for a registered provider demonstrating good technical and contract management skills, with proven ability to deal effectively with partners to provide services that meet our tenants’ needs whilst maximising value for money.
